Nashville is an excellent vacation destination year-round. But with so many things to see and do, deciding what to include in your plans is a challenge. Fortunately, we’ve done all the legwork so that you can sit back and enjoy your vacation. Make the most of your cheap bus trip to Nashville by visiting these five memorable attractions.

1. Music Row

When vacationing in Music City, it’s only right that you get up close and personal with Nashville’s iconic music scene. The best attraction to accomplish this feat is Music Row, which is positioned around 16th and 17th Avenues. Take a tour of RCA’s Studio B— where hit-makers like Dolly Parton and Elvis Presley recorded, and grab a picture outside of Owen Bradley’s Quonset Hut, which was a favorite studio of Johnny Cash.

If you don’t have a full day to spend exploring the historic area, take a trolley tour. The Old Town Trolley covers the most prominent landmarks with accompanying commentary from an expert guide. Plus, it only takes around 90 minutes. Guests can even hop off the trolley for a quick exploration of Music Row before catching the next trip back to the Country Music Hall of Fame.

2. Johnny Cash Museum

Big fan of the Man in Black? After hitting Music Row, take a stroll northeast to downtown for a visit to the Johnny Cash Museum. From records and clothing to photos and instruments, there are over 1,000 artifacts on display throughout the venue’s 18,000 square feet of space. Each section of the museum offers a theme, and together, they document the beloved musician’s entire life.

Once you’ve perused the exhibits, grab a cup of coffee or iced tea, along with a breakfast sandwich, at the on-site cafe. They also offer a souvenir shop with a wide selection of Johnny Cash memorabilia. General admission to the museum runs around $20 per adult, but kids under five get in free. They also offer discounts for seniors, veterans, and students, as well as group tour packages.

3. Ryman Auditorium

The Grand Ole Opry show has aired on a weekly basis since 1925, and it’s still a favorite of country music fans. From 1943 to 1974, the Ryman Auditorium was the primary setting of the music show, and now, it still offers many Opry events. Dating back to 1885, the concert hall has lent its acoustics to some of the most notable music acts in history, including Patsy Cline and Hank Williams.

The venue still hosts concerts regularly, so enjoy a show while you’re in town. Or, book a self-guided or backstage tour of the venue to truly take in the sights. For the ultimate country music fan, try a package tour to view both the Ryman and the Opry House up close and personal.

4. Adventure Science Center

To make the most of your bus trip to Nashville, add some educational fun by spending an afternoon at the Adventure Science Center. The site is a favorite of locals and tourists alike, offering a wide selection of interesting and distinct exhibits. Plus, it’s designed with all ages in mind, so you’re sure to please everyone in your party.

Their Sudekum Planetarium offers a revolving collection of presentations in a fully immersive entertainment environment powered by lasers. Enjoy breathtaking views of the city in the Adventure Tower, or take a deep dive into the past at the Dino Rumble display. If you’re traveling during December, enjoy their annual Science of Beer festival for taste-testing and a look behind the scientific aspect of brewing.

5. Lan Motor Museum

Music lovers aren’t the only ones who get to enjoy bus travel to Nashville; the Lane Motor Museum is a dream come true for gearheads. The organization’s dedication to preserving automobile history is seen in its 40,000-square-foot showroom, which features unique cars, motorcycles, and bicycles. Visit the museum Thursday through Monday every week to browse the collection and snap a picture next to one of the 150 models on display.
